SHORT BIOGRAPHY


I have been doing some type of wood working since my youth. I started scroll sawing in July 1989 while working as assistant Scout Master with a Boy Scout troop.

During summer camp, the boys bought blocks of wood from the trading post to carve neckerchief slides, and asked me to help them to carve the slides.

After summer camp, I bought my first scroll saw to cut out blanks to carve the slides. When I had developed my basic sawing skills, I expanded into more intricate designs.



Canada Scroll Saw Art was started on January 1, 2006. I felt that it was time to share my wood art with a larger number of people. Prior to starting Canada Scroll Saw Art, I participated in a number of local art and craft shows in the Dallas,TX area.

My company has built custom wine bars, as seen in this display, for local tasting rooms. We have also reproduced winery logos out of wood for bottle holders, signs and trivets.
